GUY-L1025 RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SOESDYKE LINDEN HIGHWAY PROJECT
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES ACCELERATION
The Ministry of Public Works, in collaboration with the technical consultant, Al-Habshi Engineering Consultants Office in Joint Venture with C.B. & Associates Inc. (ACO JV CBA Inc.) and the contractor, Namalco Construction Services Ltd. JV Guyamerica Construction Inc. (NCSL JV GCI), continues to advance the Soesdyke-Linden Highway project. The Public is hereby advised that Full Depth Reconstruction Works, between chainages 8+340 and 8+440 (in the vicinity of Kuru Kururu), will commence on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.  This and other works will continue at other sections of the highway, util the completion at the end of 2026. 
Project Details:
- Work Type: Full Depth Reconstruction Excavation & other related highway construction activities.
- Location: Beginning at Kuru Kururu
- Working Hours: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (with some nighttime activities as required)
Traffic Impact and Work Schedule:
🚧Lane Closures: Periodic One (1) Lane Closures are in effect, primarily on one side of the highway.
🌙Night Work: As Required.
⏳Delays: Expect traffic disruptions with potential delays.
Safety & Traffic Measures:
🛣️ Speed Limit: Reduced Speed Limits along the entire highway, especially within the construction zones.
✅ Traffic Management: Clearly marked detour signs to guide motorists and pedestrians.
🚷 Restricted Access: Certain sections of the highway may be temporarily restricted.
Motorists and Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution, obey traffic signs, and follow directions from flag personnel. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the infrastructure. Motorists and Pedestrians who fail to comply with the safety and traffic measures will be prosecuted.
