CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CONDUCTING AN ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW DEMERARA RIVER BRIDGE (NANDY PARK TO LA GRANGE) AND APPROACH ROADS

Overview

The Ministry of Public Works invites eligible Consultancy Firms to submit Proposals for Conducting an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Construction of the New Demerara River Bridge (Nandy Park to La Grange) and its Approach Roads.

The main objective of this Consultancy is for the Consultant to undertake a detailed assessment of the environmental and social issues that are involved with or are likely to arise from the planned development in the areas of influence of the project.

The estimated implementation period of the Consultancy is 5 months.

Consultants will be selected in accordance with the policies and procedures set out by the National Procurement Act (2003). The Standard Request for Proposal document can be found on the Ministry’s website (https://mopw.gov.gy/) under the Procurement Tab.

Interested consultants may:

1. Submit a letter of intent to bid by writing to Address 1 or the associated email address below.
2. Obtain further information by writing to Address 1 or the associated email address below from March 1, 2021. Any clarification of the RFP will be communicated simultaneously in writing to all interested bidders at the latest 7 calendar days before the deadline for submitting bids.

Bidders are required to submit a combined Technical and Financial Proposal which must be delivered to the Tender Box at Address 2 below before 09:00 hrs. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
