Budget Presentation

 

Today, starting from 9:30am up until this evening, Hon. Bishop Juan A. Edghill, Minister of Public Works; Honourable Deodat Indar, Minister within the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Mr. Vladim Persuad met with the Managering Directors and their management team from the various agencies under the purview of the Ministry of Public Works to peruse and discuss each agency's 2021 proposed budget.

 

The agencies under the purview of the Ministry of the Public Works represented today were:

 

* Works Services Group

* Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation

* Guyana Civil Aviation Authority

* Guyana National Shipping Corporation

* Transport & Harbours Department

* Maritime Administration Department

* Cheddi Jagan International Airport

 

Discussions will be continuing during the week as the Ministry aims to present a budget in keeping with every plan and promise expressed in the Peoples Progressive Party manifesto for a better and improved infrastructural development.
