Chile Ambassador Pays Courtesy Visit to Minister Edghill
 
16th December, 2020 – Honourable Bishop Juan A. Edghill, Minister of Public Works today received a courtesy visit from the ambassador of Chile, Mr. Patricio Becker.
 
During the discussion Minister Edghill noted that the cooperation between Guyana and Chile should be enhanced and he is confident that such cooperation ties are being made through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
Matters of mutual interest discussed were, training and capacity building of staff, drainage and irrigation, the open sky agreement, advanced technology, mining operations, agriculture and social security.
 
Further, Ambassador Becker congratulated Minister Edghill and posited he looks forward to the continuous support between Guyana and Chile.
