INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

The Cooperative Republic of Guyana

Ministry of Public Infrastructure

1. The Ministry of Public Infrastructure hereinafter referred to as “the Employer” now invites sealed bids from bidders for the execution of:

• Lot 1 Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs in Georgetown
• Lot 2 Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs on East Bank Demerara Public Road
• Lot 3 Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs on West Bank Demerara Highway
• Lot 4 - Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs on Essequibo Coast Public Road
• Lot 5 - Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs on Mahaica to Rosignol Public Road
• Lot 6 - Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs on New Amsterdam to Moleson Creek Pubic Road
• Lot 7 – Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs on East Coast Demerara Public Road

1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedure specified in the Procurement Act 2003.

1. Interested bidders may obtain further information from, inspect the bidding document, and purchase a complete set of bidding documents at the Ministry of Public Infrastructure (address (1) below) between Monday to Thursday (09:00 to 16:30 hours), and on Friday (09:00 to 15:00 hours), from Monday, February 4, 2019.

1. A complete set of the bidding documents, in English, may be purchased by interested bidders at address (1) below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Three Thousand Guyana Dollars (GY$3,000.00). The method of payment will be cash, or by cheque payable to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Guyana. Electronic submission of bids will not be permitted.
2. Each bid must be accompanied by a recent Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), National Insurance Scheme (NIS) Compliance Certificates, Business Registration and TIN Certificate.

1. All Bidders must submit their bids on or before Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 09:00 hrs. To: The Chairman, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Public Infrastructure Tender Box, Wight’s Lane, Kingston. Envelopes must be clearly labelled “Installation of Guardrails and Traffic Signs Lot 1 - 7” at the top left-hand corner.

1. Late bids will be rejected and returned to bidders unopened. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives and everyone who choose to attend on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 09:00 hrs. at the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Wight’s Lane, Kingston.
