Minister of Public Works, Honourable Bishop Juan Edghill was today paid a courtesy visit by NORINCO International Cooperation Ltd.

 

The visiting delegation was led by International Engineering Project Manager, Mr. Bai Yu and Regional Manager for Electric Power Development, Mr. Kevin Wu.

 

During the visit, the team expressed their interest in participating in local projects, specifically in the production of power. A verbal proposal was also made to Minister Edghill for waste to be converted to power.

 

Minister Edghill encouraged the company to conduct a feasibility study to ensure the business would be viable. He also wished the company well and noted that should NORINCO be involved in Public Works projects in the future, he looks forward to full cooperation.

 

The Public Works Minister further pointed out that “Quality is rule number one” and the new regime will be ensuring that they get value for money and a competent workforce.
