US House of Representatives pay courtesy on MPI Ministers

KINGSTON - A three member delegation from the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs paid a courtesy call Hon. David Patterson and Hon. Annette Ferguson- Minister of Public Infrastructure and Minister within the Ministry, respectively, at their Wight's Lane office, yesterday, August 27, 2015.

The delegation which comprised Mark Walker, Sadaf Khan and Tom Alexander, was accompanied by Charge d' Affaires of the US Embassy, Bryant Hunt where they were apprised of the Government’s infrastructural policy objectives and intention of realizing more meaningful projects for Guyanese.

In addition, issues such as renewable energy, telecommunication liberalisation including spectrum distribution, oil exploration among others, were discussed.

During the interactive meeting, the team congratulated the Ministers on their new portfolios and expressed optimism that the new coalition Government will exercise democracy during its tenure in office.
